Getting set up…
This is after the sun came up. Before this I was setting up with a flashlight and the car headlights on!
stuff starting to dwindle
To eventually about three skimpy tables left.
Once 1:00 rolled around, my husband crafted this sign. He laughed at me for the “do not take the tent and tables” but they were rented and I didn’t want people to haul them off thinking they were free!
At this point, my family headed out to see the US Women’s Soccer team play against Germany. A certain one of my children has been obsessed with women’s soccer (or more specifically with Alex Morgan and Hope Solo) ever since the Olympics. That certain kid was home from college for the weekend.
I have no idea when Josh sprang up, but I now have two sons that tower over me.
This was my first live soccer game (other than my kids’) and I had no idea how much fun they were.
Our seats were right behind one of the goals (danger zone) and as Germany was warming up, we kept getting assaulted with rogue soccer balls traveling at the speed of sound.
We got home late, so the next morning I peeked out and this was all that remained…
Then I did a “my basement and cottage are now completely empty” happy dance.
Be back soon to share my plans for the cottage.
Have a wonderful weekend.
