cutest notepads ever

The time of year is upon us…

it seems like every time you turn around, you need a little gift for someone.

Teachers, bus drivers, coaches, librarians, bunco groups, vbs teachers, yada yada…

and that whole gift-giving scene can get pricey.

So here’s a gift idea that is:

easy, cute, and cheap!

Or as I like to call it, the perfecta trifecta. πŸ˜‰

Materials needed:

a 6×6 pad of scrapbook paper (or you can just use coordinating pieces of any size), paper trimmer, glue stick, scissors, and a pack of small (5×8) legal pads (wal-mart has 6 packs for $1.77, making them just 30 cents each!)

1. Β Cut your scrapbook paper into 2″ by 5″ strips. This is super easy with the 6×6 paper…just trim it to 5″ then 3-2″ strips!

2. Using permanent glue stick, coat the front, top and side of the brand label with glue and then place the scrapbook paper strip on top of it.

Smooth the front, then top, then back. Β The glue will remain tacky for a few seconds if you need to reposition or slide the paper. Now hold it in place for a few seconds.

3. Done.

You can give them individually or bundled up in cute coordinating stacks…

Lotta bang.

Little buck.

Whole lotta cute.

Now go forth and create!

Cute idea! Thanks! Should have done this as teacher gifts a couple of weeks ago!
Enjoy having your son home this summer – my eldest is about to be a junior in college – she has NO desire to come home in the summers. (I think boys are different, though.)

This is so stinkin cute. Wow what a simple but packs a punch idea. I love this. I am so doing this. I bet teachers would love these. I always do a little something for the girls in my vet’s office so I may make them these and put a cute pin with it. Thanks for this great idea. So happy to see you back on your blog. I missed seeing you and reading your wonderful posts.
