Wow.
Thank you all for sharing your precious memories.
It was so difficult to choose, but in the end I just kept coming back to this one.
I was adopted at the age of 4 and very quickly became a daddy’s girl. Each year I got a Valentine card from him with a note saying how glad he was that “I had chosen him”. I am now 59, he is coming up on 90 and you guessed it… I’m looking forward to receiving my card in the mail this next week! We live in two different states and a few years ago, I made a Valentine tree with all the saved cards and notes, took a picture, made it in to a puzzle and sent it to him. This simple gesture was probably the best Valentine gift I’ve ever given and his response was the best I’ve ever received.Isn’t that the sweetest? It really touched my heart.

That is a very nice story:) I love your giveaway items, and I gotta make that framed burlap with the pin. Grandma’s jewelry would be lovely showcased like this!

Thank you all for your lovely comments and Susan, thanks ever so much for choosing me. My dad will be tickled pink when I tell him!

Being adopted myself, I could also relate to Susan M.’s heartwarming memories. Our Dads and Moms are someone very special. Congratulations on your win, Susan.
