Decorating the new-to-me writing desk in all things horsey sure was fun.
I know, I know. I usually don’t love themes either, but what’s the fun of living in a farmhouse without a few “farmy” touches?
While in Target a few weeks ago, I fell in love with these framed ribbons.
I’ve had this oil painting for a long while and thought he looked at home here.
The bugle lamp, a 1926 vintage trophy cup, and a plaid Target frame complete the equestrian look.
I love to mix things up. Old and new. Cheap and not-so-cheap. Silver and brass. Wood and Fabric. Hard and soft. Pulling opposites together can actually create a cohesive, collected look.
This vignette will get changed up at the end of fall, but I’ll use everything in other places around the house.
It’s my version of recycling.
Enjoy your day.
